The National Economic and Development Authority was awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Certification for its Quality Management System (QMS) on a part of its investment programming process, recognizing the agency’s commitment to efficient public service.
The ISO certificate affirms the agency’s investment programming services—particularly the Appraisal of Program/Project Proposals and Facilitation of the Investment Coordination Committee (ICC) Action—as compliant with international standards of service.
“This certification is a testament to NEDA’s strong commitment to consistently deliver quality service to the Filipino people,” Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto M. Pernia said following the granting of the certificate on September 12.
NEDA’s ISO certification process started in December 2016, when the ISO-aligned QMS documents were prepared by concerned NEDA offices. The said system was implemented starting in 2017. It entailed internal quality audits and management reviews that prepared NEDA for two third-party audits in 2018.
NEDA aced the second third-party audit in August as all components of the established QMS were found to be compliant with ISO standards.
NEDA’s ISO Certificate will be posted at the central office lobby and on the NEDA website’s Transparency Seal. This is in compliance with Administrative Order No. 25, IATF Memorandum Circular No. 2018-1, dated May 28, 2018.
The NEDA QMS was certified and registered against the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Standard by AJA Registrars, Inc.
