The NEDA Board – Social Development Committee (NB-SDC) and the Human Development and Poverty Reduction (HDPR) Cabinet Cluster held a joint meeting recently at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan, Department of Education Central Office in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. Economic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Corazon Juliano-Soliman co-chaired the event.

Economic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Corazon Juliano-Soliman co-chaired the event.

The meeting discussed the updated reports of reduced household poverty from 2006-2012; Standardized Monitoring and Assessment of Relief and Transition (SMART) Survey Results; finalization of the married cluster and house versions of the Magna Carta of the Poor; and updates from the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA).

Key officials from National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC), National Youth Commission (NYC), Departments of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Health (DOH), Education (DepEd), Foreign Affairs (DFA), and Labor and Employment (DOLE), Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO), and Cooperative and Development Authority (CDA) attended the meeting.
