Ambassador Roberto Sebastián of the Republic of Argentina paid a courtesy call on Economic Planning Secretary and NEDA Director-General Arsenio M. Balisacan at the Office of the Secretary, NEDA Pasig on February 10.
During the visit, Secretary Balisacan said that current ties between the Philippines and Latin America pose a good leeway in improving their relationship particularly on trade. Meanwhile, Ambassador Sebastián also expressed their interest for possible development research collaborations. This would be done through exchange of publications, sharing of statistics and possible coordination with research institutes like the Philippine Institute for Development Studies and Philippine Center for Economic Development, among others.
