Members of the US Department of Treasury paid a courtesy call on Economic Planning Secretary and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Director-General Arsenio M. Balisacan on March 23 at the NEDA Pasig. The delegation led by Harry R. Tether (second, left row), Advisor from the Office of Technical Assistance, asked about the current needs of the Philippines and expressed its intention to offer technical support and expertise in public-private partnerships. Secretary Balisacan said that infrastructure remains to be a major need to put the Philippine economy on a long-term growth trajectory.
Harry Tether was accompanied by three other delegates: Milosz A. Mogilnicki, Resident Advisor to Indonesia, and David Schnier and Kyle Fisher of the Economic section of the US Embassy. Also present was Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center Executive Director Cosette V. Canilao
