Economic Planning Secretary and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Director-General Arsenio M. Balisacan (2nd from right) and NEDA Directors-General Emmanuel F. Tungpalan (right) expressed their support for the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Strengthening Urban Resilience for Growth and Equity (SURGE) project during its launch on August 14 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Makati City.
The SURGE project aims to develop secondary cities in the country to promote a more balanced and resilient urban growth that will help in decongesting Metro Manila and its surrounding areas, where growth is concentrated.
