Economic Planning Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan gave an update on the Philippine economy and discussed other related issues with the members of the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines (FOCAP) last September 16 at the Marco Polo Hotel in Pasig City.

The NEDA chief underscored that given the country’s strong macroeconomic fundamentals, it remains as among the top performing economies in the region. He also highlighted several accomplishments in the expansion of the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Program, job generation, and poverty reduction.
