The year 2016 will be a year of transition, as we witness the end of one administration and usher in the beginning of a new one. Naturally, this period of transition will be fraught with challenges. As members of the country’s socioeconomic planning agency, we NEDAns are in a unique position to shape our nation’s destiny and ensure that gains made in the past will translate into even greater benefits in the future.

With the grace of God and with our collective determination and abilities, I am confident that we will surmount all of these hurdles to propel the Philippines towards greater prosperity, equality, and unity. Together, let us face the tasks ahead with hope and determination, as members of one NEDA family.
