Delegates from the Finland-based FINPRO, accompanied by the Ministry of Employment and Economy Division for Exports and International Investments Head Severi Keinälä (center, left row), paid a courtesy call on Economic Planning Secretary and NEDA Director-General Arsenio M. Balisacan last February 9 at the Office of the Secretary, NEDA Pasig.
The delegates Pekka Nieminen and Mika Eriksson were briefed by NEDA Deputy Director-Generals Emmanuel F. Esguerra and Rolando G. Tungpalan on the economic performance of the Philippines and the need of the country for investments in infrastructure, particularly in transportation. FINPRO is a government funded Finnish company founded in 1919 that aims to help Finnish SMEs go international, encourages foreign direct investment in Finland and promotes tourism.
