The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Office IV-A (CALABARZON) and IV-B (MIMAROPA) were conferred with the Golden Eagle by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) for the fourth and third consecutive year respectively during its annual awarding ceremony on August 4.
The BSP bestows the Golden Eagle to stakeholders who have continuously supported its statistical undertakings, information needs, and advocacy programs.
This earned NEDA MIMAROPA and CALABARZON a spot in BSP’s Gold Hall of Fame Awardees for their consistent performance as BSP Region-IV’s “Outstanding Partner for Report on Regional Economic Developments in the Philippines.”
Meanwhile, CALABARZON’s Regional Development Council (RDC) was the only RDC recognized as “Outstanding Partner in Implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns,” an award given to agencies that consistently provide timely and valuable information to the BSP’s Annual Report on Regional Economic Development.
Monetary Board Member and former NEDA Director-General Felipe M. Medalla led the awarding ceremony held at Greenfield City, Sta. Rosa, Laguna, with BSP stakeholders in CALABARZON and MIMAROPA.
This year’s event themed, “Transforming Shared Visions into Dynamic Partnership,” aimed to continue the BSP’s tradition of recognizing its partners that support the Bank in its mandate of safeguarding price stability and promoting a healthy financial system in the country.
NEDA Undersecretary for Regional Development Adoracion Navarro commended the regional office for their outstanding performance and urged them to continue setting the standard of excellence for NEDA offices and employees.
“May this award not only recognize your collective effort, but also inspire other NEDA offices and employees to aim for the highest standards of public service,” Navarro said.
Citations were also conferred to other program partners in the MIMAROPA region.
The Department of Education – Occidental Mindoro was recognized as Outstanding Regional Partner in Clean Note Policy Program, and the province of Palawan as Outstanding Regional Partner for Implementing BSP Advocacy on the conduct of public information campaigns.
