The Philippine Sanitation Anthology, 2023-2024

The preparation of the Philippine Sanitation Anthology was initiated to raise awareness and to document initiatives that seek to address the whole sustainable sanitation gaps in the country. This is a compilation of efforts in broadening access to improved sanitation services by various government agencies, local government units, water service providers, private organizations, civil society, and development partners.

This anthology provides evidence on why the referred efforts are also core in advancing the country’s commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals 6.2 and 6.3 on sanitation and wastewater management. Moreover, the collected and collated evidences and outcomes from these efforts will better inform policies of the government, facilitate partnerships for collaboration and steer actions that need to be undertaken to meet the international standards for sanitation towards improving health and environmental results.
