Economic Planning Secretary and NEDA Director-General Arsenio M. Balisacan gave a message to new graduates of the Centro Escolar University—School of Nutrition and Hospitality Management and School of Nursing last week at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel. In his speech, the NEDA Chief briefly talked about the Millennium Development Goals, specifically the targets on hunger and malnutrition, and the critical role of the graduates, who are future health care providers and professionals, in ensuring that citizens are properly nourished and are able to function well and be productive members of the society. The Cabinet official also mentioned about the opportunities available for the hospitality management with the continuous rise of the tourism industry and the move towards a single ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
